Congo

What do Tim Curry, Dylan Walsh, and a Nintendo Power Glove wearing Gorilla have in common with Laura Linney? Is the answer gas money? Ernie Hudson? The myth of the Killer Ape? Huh?

Scott and Frank popped back to 1995 and watched Congo. A beloved Michael Crichton novel shoved in a big slam Pepsi bottle. Tastes like sweet Jurassic Park money to us. And goddamn if Ernie Hudson wasn't charming.

Volcanos, lasers, telecommunications, mutant gorillas, a lost city of diamonds, and Bruce Campbell! This movie had more plot than it could handle.

Grab a Raindrop Drink and lets tromp hand in hand through a soundstage jungle where no one sweats.

Also, we spoiler-free discuss Yellowjackets on Showtime, The Batman, and rant HBO's abomination of a streaming app.

About the Podcast

The Last Video Store Clerks
With Frank and Scott
The Last Video Store Clerks try to figure out what a good movie even is in the age of streaming. Are there still Cult Classics with no shelf to put them on? Something is missing. Former video store clerks Frank Roll and Scott Moran aim to find it. Or at least, comedy and a silver lining. What is a good movie anyway?
