[:

[00:00:08] Frank Roll: days of Blockbuster Hollywood and the independent video store are

[:

[00:00:18] Scott Moran: Receive streaming services and ask the question, what the fuck is that? Does this hold up? And just, what the hell is a good movie? Anyway, I'm Frank Ro. I'm Scott Moran, and we

[:

[00:00:30] Scott Moran: what

[:

[00:00:40] Frank Roll: in. I knew I wanted to see this in the. You know?

[:

[00:00:45] Frank Roll: I had not for that. Oh, it's full of cgi or the action's gonna be crazy. Like these sequences are nuts. Just No. That would've been cool to see in a theater.

[:

[00:00:53] Scott Moran: liked to see the audience reaction during it and who laughed at what . I don't wanna spoil the end of this movie at all for. Anyone. So it's still real new . I'll do my best. Yeah, man, it was good, especially if you've ever worked in the service industry. I didn't realize John Lang Zamo was in this at all.

[:

[00:01:11] Frank Roll: I started watching. I had no idea. . He was in a violent night, which I saw recently. I think I did know that one, . But you know, I didn't remember. Um,

[:

[00:01:30] Scott Moran: I don't need to know.

[:

[00:01:36] Scott Moran: Yeah. There's stuff that I, uh, I know they're not gonna spoil it with the. Like the evil dead rise trailer. I'll watch the whole thing of that because whatever they have in store for you, it's probably not in the trailer.

[:

[00:02:00] Frank Roll: it was,

[:

[00:02:07] Frank Roll: check this. So everybody there, the way that they were doing it, I thought that one person from like uh, each party brought the other one there to do something to them.

[:

[00:02:34] Frank Roll: And then with the older married couple, like at first I thought it was husband, then I was like, oh wait, no, it's gonna be the wife. But then to find out that wasn't the case at all. I was like, you're doing that. Were you making up your own movie trying to figure out what's happening? I

[:

[00:02:49] Scott Moran: Yeah.

[:

[00:02:55] Scott Moran: Yeah. And remember how I said that? I was like, is this a hunting people

[:

[00:03:04] Scott Moran: I think, uh, a human experiment.

[:

[00:03:09] Frank Roll: them. That was going to be like the, on the menu, like the person

[:

[00:03:15] Frank Roll: That did cross my mind. That's, that's one of the things that crossed my mind with the partner thing. .

[:

[00:03:24] Scott Moran: and I was so happy. I was so fucking happy.

[:

[00:03:42] Scott Moran: could have got up and left Yeah.

[:

[00:03:44] Frank Roll: wanted all of you together, you know? Yeah. Like you probably he was like, but you didn't or whatever. Um, but no. Yeah. So it's, you're being misled. Think that was in, do you think that was intentional?

[:

[00:04:02] Scott Moran: It wasn't until that sous chef shot himself that I was. Oh, I think I know what this is, . And it was when he was just, you know, are you happy with your job? They did seem to be the

[:

[00:04:14] Scott Moran: though. Did you have a favorite course?

[:

[00:04:54] Frank Roll: You know what I. It doesn't ring my

[:

[00:05:02] Frank Roll: No, that's exactly what I'm saying. So the way, like it was fucking

[:

[00:05:06] Frank Roll: Well, like I'm saying, if you love to really delve into the food world like that, that's you, man. Go for it. But to me, fuck no.

[:

[00:05:18] Scott Moran: no. I'm a shitty diner person. .

[:

[00:05:25] Scott Moran: there. Yeah. And I've been to a lot of fancy restaurants and, uh, I'm never happier than I am when I go to like a nasty diner.

[:

[00:05:36] Frank Roll: a walk and roll on Burnett

[:

[00:05:40] Frank Roll: It was good. And it failed health inspections all the time. And they'd put it in the Chronicle and shit. . But you know, who never stopped going? I was young, but I realized, oh, this place. I still

[:

[00:05:54] Frank Roll: I think at that point in life, I was a strict beef

[:

[00:06:13] Scott Moran: But, Was he

[:

[00:06:17] Scott Moran: What that was about art to them. I've just never, as many years as I spent in the service industry mm-hmm. , I never felt that kind of loyalty to anything. And I don't think they did either, necessarily. But it was,

[:

[00:06:36] Scott Moran: oh, I don't remember.

[:

[00:06:49] Frank Roll: and uh, I know her from, uh, what was it, downsizing, the Matt Damon. Oh,

[:

[00:06:58] Frank Roll: I don't, I don't remember if it's downsizing or downsizing and I've seen it a lot. I

[:

[00:07:10] Frank Roll: What are you doing? Even, uh, yeah, I won't get into it. I'm just gonna hit the brakes right there.

[:

[00:07:41] Scott Moran: ever.

[:

[00:07:45] Scott Moran: He played that really well too. Mm-hmm. , was that kid's name Nicholas Holt?

[:

[00:07:53] Scott Moran: Oh, witness. I always think of him as a, he was in Skins, which I never really watched, but I had and and that was a war Girlfriend Bodies guy, right? Yeah. I had a girlfriend that watched that for a long and he was like the cute guy on skins.

[:

[00:08:28] Scott Moran: Yeah. I never watched Anna Green Gables. Now I haven't seen any of her. Uh, Kira nightly shit. .

[:

[00:08:40] Scott Moran: I wouldn't be surprised though. I was just messing around if she did some fucking masterpiece Theater. Bunch of

[:

[00:08:46] Scott Moran: Yeah. , if you told me that, I would've believed you.

[:

[00:08:52] Scott Moran: Yeah, . So I like Florence pu, but I'm not watching fucking little women. Oh. I feel like I'm seeing Rafe finds a lot lately. It's fine. No, no. I love him to death. Wait, don't say his

[:

[00:09:07] Scott Moran: Rafe, Ralph. It's Rafe Ray .

[:

[00:09:14] Scott Moran: There are a lot of fines.

[:

[00:09:22] Frank Roll: of all the trivial things I know about, you know, Hollywood and those types of, you know, I don't know anything about the fines tree. No,

[:

[00:09:35] Scott Moran: I don't

[:

[00:09:45] Scott Moran: lazy.

[:

[00:09:56] Frank Roll: So well

[:

[00:10:00] Frank Roll: Uh, like what's a good like mouth trumpet song? Wait, here we go. Here we

[:

[00:10:12] Scott Moran: Actually, that's pretty good. And. Star trekked me.

[:

[00:10:29] Frank Roll: I was like, it took a while cuz I'm like, I know, I know that face. It's just

[:

[00:10:37] Frank Roll: No. Well, I think it's how much I watched that show and how much, I didn't really watch that show when it was on tv.

[:

[00:10:46] Scott Moran: boss? No. Uh, not back then. Yeah. Like if it

[:

[00:10:51] Scott Moran: were really little when that was on.

[:

[00:10:59] Frank Roll: Yeah, I'm fine. Like I'm hanging out watching tv. We watch

[:

[00:11:13] Frank Roll: yeah. See, I never watched fam. Wow. You got me. I don't think I ever put that one together. Really? No, because I wasn't a big family ti That was the Michael J.

[:

[00:11:25] Scott Moran: I didn't do that one. That man cracks me up. I wonder if there's a restaurant that you can go to that is on an island like that. I thought there was gonna be more island. , like we're on an island.

[:

[00:11:39] Frank Roll: like, these are the quarters. And you're kind of wondering like, okay, how close is this staff? Yeah. . But, um, no, I just, you know, me creating my own storyline at the beginning threw me off a bit, but, and you kind of touched on the humor. I

[:

[00:11:56] Scott Moran: I love

[:

[00:12:14] Scott Moran: There was something to that too, where they were like talking loud.

[:

[00:12:39] Scott Moran: Have you never seen Fight Club? I will fuck you up, dude. Oh, I won't. But still it should treat me with more respect. You should treat the people who make you food with an insane amount of

[:

[00:12:57] Frank Roll: What the fuck's wrong with you? And

[:

[00:13:21] Scott Moran: Even that job sucks. You ever inventory at a restaurant, shit, if you've ever ran a restaurant, it's like fucking sailing a boat with a hole in it. all the time. Like you're like, I have, this stuff is my inventory and it's rotting from the moment I. From the moment it died most of the time. Anything like that?

[:

[00:13:47] Frank Roll: Yu Oh, ate lunch at Hop Dotty today. Went to the bar to get a drink to get food faster. It, uh, , it was funny. We got the bill ahead of time. She's like, oh, you don't have to pay it. And I'm like, no, I'll just do it. And I'm like, oh wait, well this might because there's a tip on there.

[:

[00:14:13] Frank Roll: Yeah, she was like, and she told them, she was like, oh well, you know, and she's like, I do this in case I have to go and I don't make it back for a minute. And it's like, no, no, no, it's fine. Completely understand. I'm

[:

[00:14:31] Scott Moran: because I think that was really the bigger thing with this. Those people cared so much and that's why their reaction was so extreme. .

[:

[00:14:43] Scott Moran: know, the only one I really felt bad for was John Leguizamo, cuz he may have been a dick. But it was really like, I don't feel like that was justified

[:

[00:14:58] Scott Moran: the mistress she got to go to college for without paying for it. .

[:

[00:15:12] Scott Moran: That's a good point.

[:

[00:15:22] Scott Moran: but that's what I mean. She was still there for money bags, you know? No, she didn't know any better. I, uh, should have been cuted by like that dress, what her profession was.

[:

[00:15:43] Frank Roll: soon. I'm gonna watch it again, just to kind of, now that I know where it's going,

[:

[00:15:51] Scott Moran: That I could have caught, but I maybe didn't. Yeah. And also,

[:

[00:16:02] Scott Moran: Yeah. They seem to be entertaining. The idea that this was like all part of the show for Yeah, an insane amount of time.

[:

[00:16:27] Scott Moran: let down.

[:

[00:16:35] Frank Roll: definitely saw it in the theater as a trailer. It might have been Smile. I do believe it was Smile. I

[:

[00:16:46] Scott Moran: Oh, ah. Or Triangle of

[:

[00:16:54] Scott Moran: Yeah. And both me, Kelly was like, this is on a boat, right? And I was like, no. And she was like, oh, there was that other movie. At the same time. There was another boat movie with a, well, they get on a boat in this one to go to the restaurant.

[:

[00:17:14] Frank Roll: Oh, wait, wait. Not that one.

[:

[00:17:36] Scott Moran: Not the twist. I don't feel like there was

[:

[00:17:41] Scott Moran: it had, it had a really good story with a, a message that I hope helps . There's no one I care about in our society more than service industry people.
