Sissy (2022) - Influencer Horror?

Sissy is a 2022 Australian Shudder Original horror film written and directed by Hannah Barlow and Kane Senes. From the trailer, we totally thought this was a found footage movie. It is not. We have stumbled into a genre that deserves its own shelf.

Influencer Horror? YouTuber Horror? Something like that. Either way, we've wandered into staying on topic once again.

Watch the Trailer

We'd put Spree, Incantation, and next week's movie Deadstream on a video store shelf together. Check out our episodes on those if you wanna collect them all!

Sissy and Deadstream are available to stream on Shudder and AMC+. Both are worth a free week trial to watch these two movies, but we signed up for a week and stayed a whole month. The selection is pretty damn good.

Sissy - Influncer Horror

[:

[00:00:09] Frank Roll: Hollywood and the independent video

[:

[00:00:18] Scott Moran: See of streaming services and ask the question, what the fuck is that? Does this hold up? And just, what the hell is a good movie? Anyway, I'm Frank Ro. I'm Scott Moran and we are the last video store

[:

[00:00:39] Frank Roll: I, uh, I've been watching F is for family again, here and there. I love it. It's such so, I feel like I was born at the wrong time. Scott, you know what reminds

[:

[00:00:58] Scott Moran: That was nineties. But it was for kids, wasn't it? Yeah. Yeah,

[:

[00:01:04] Scott Moran: World. It was, yeah. I think they actually aired back to back.

[:

[00:01:12] Scott Moran: credit. Yeah. And yeah, yeah, yeah. And I, I probably talked about this before, but how Mandel scarred me for life with Bobby's world and my wife separately me.

[:

[00:01:32] Frank Roll: Well, it's funny you say that. Have you seen the tests that they're show that have been going around online lately? People who have done like these infrared tests of like what comes up when you flush the toilet, man, it's like over two feet.

[:

[00:01:44] Scott Moran: head. I don't wanna know. I've been brushing my teeth just fine. Also, my toothbrush has a cover. Well, it's

[:

[00:01:55] Scott Moran: I remember I was dating a girl and she.

[:

[00:02:10] Frank Roll: Well, I've never had a problem changing the lid at our house though. I changed lid and it just doesn't seem to fit the bowl right. And I'm like, what fucking size toilet is this?

[:

[00:02:17] Scott Moran: the wrong

[:

[00:02:36] Frank Roll: Do you want me to go on about the fucking toilet seats? Dude, I had to go in fucking Home Depot, open the fucking boxes, and make sure that the fucking wing nuts would clear the bowl on my toilet before I bought it. So I'm a fucking guy standing in the toilet seat fucking aisle, going through the boxes, looking at the wing.

[:

[00:02:47] Scott Moran: thank you, . So the last of us got renewed, did it? And Poker face also got renewed. Haven't started poker face yet. Listening to the last of us podcast. Mm. , it's great. Is it? So it's the two creators, the creator of the video game and the creator of the show. No shit. And, uh, Troy Baker, who does Joel's voice in the video game, is the host badass.

[:

[00:03:23] Frank Roll: I was just gonna say, I didn't play the game, so I can't appreciate it to that level.

[:

[00:03:35] Scott Moran: halfway through a. So one through three and

[:

[00:03:39] Scott Moran: Brilliant. And I think this season is nine episodes, not 10. I'm

[:

[00:03:46] Scott Moran: little, that's how you gotta start a story though.

[:

[00:03:54] Frank Roll: action packed, boring. I knew you were gonna say action packed. It's not just lacking in action.

[:

[00:04:02] Frank Roll: At the end.

[:

[00:04:06] Scott Moran: Yeah. But it's about this just closed off fucking man, you know? And, uh, his relationship with. Loving anything and having to be alive for this long after he felt like his life ended. I feel like everything is paralleling that. Like that's the same problem Henry had.

[:

[00:04:39] Scott Moran: Well,

[:

[00:04:45] Scott Moran: anything. Haven't already talked about. I'm like in progress. Gotcha. We've been watching, uh, we've been rewatching Silicon Valley. I hadn't seen the last two seasons. Hmm. And Kelly hadn't seen any of it, so I've been watching that.

[:

[00:05:10] Frank Roll: cool how much shit, and like you're saying, includes olive of shutter, so you've got all this horror content, but on top of that, just the r.

[:

[00:05:36] Scott Moran: out.

[:

[00:05:51] Scott Moran: Mm-hmm. And uh, that's what they have.

[:

[00:06:01] Scott Moran: she didn't leave to do the Boy Your Face? Did you watch the Boy?

[:

[00:06:10] Frank Roll: That's

[:

[00:06:12] Frank Roll: I heard he got, it was like an undercover, like kind of,

[:

[00:06:20] Frank Roll: Like a fucking

[:

[00:06:23] Frank Roll: doll. Yeah. No whiskey Cavalier. Sorry. So that didn't work out. She went back to Walking Dead. That's when she popped back into

[:

[00:06:29] Scott Moran: Oh. Like she left, like she, I didn't stay on board that long,

[:

[00:06:47] Scott Moran: left. She doesn't say that

[:

[00:06:49] Frank Roll: She left to do Whiskey Cavalier. It didn't work out. She goes back to Walking Dead. We still haven't finished. We're at the whispers whenever we do. Well, we're gonna start from the beginning, but we left off at

[:

[00:07:08] Scott Moran: But no, because we did initially, we were like, we can do these two movies in a fucking

[:

[00:07:19] Scott Moran: There was a lot of me being like, that's where that went. Holy shit. Oh, near dark is on there.

[:

[00:07:26] Frank Roll: message? And then I checked and I was like, yes. Okay. I mean, like I said, I saw that when I was a. probably shouldn't have been watching it. So I remember things, but I didn't understand what that movie, what was happening. Like that's how young I was when

I

[:

[00:07:41] Scott Moran: So, and then it comes outta nowhere. Yeah. And I couldn't find it fucking anywhere. And a DVD of it costs like $37 and there it is. Mm-hmm. , thank God, . It's nice when you find something because H B O took Westworld down. Netflix is taking. Arrested development off its platform, even though they made two seasons of it.

[:

[00:08:08] Frank Roll: Westworld's getting taken down,

[:

[00:08:18] Frank Roll: You know, I stopped after. Or was

[:

[00:08:24] Scott Moran: Like what? Like walking dead. I'll watch it. When it was over, I was like, I'm gonna watch it all when I can just take it down. I don't know. I started three, but watching it as it came on was fucking agonizing. That first

[:

[00:08:37] Scott Moran: was so good though. Oh, Westworld. I enjoyed. up to where I had stopped.

[:

[00:08:45] Frank Roll: know if they were gonna continue after two, and I think it was up in the air and I was like, well, I'd be fine with that. I started three and I'm like, I think I would've just been better off

[:

[00:09:00] Scott Moran: Mm-hmm. , they committed to do the whole first. , which is a perfect story. Like we didn't need the second game and they came out 10 fucking years apart. Mm-hmm. , that would've been fine. Hopefully it makes them make a third game faster than fucking 10 years though. ,

[:

[00:09:17] Scott Moran: God. Well, I mean, he is got another guy who could probably help him out with the fucking story

[:

[00:09:25] Scott Moran: Well, people weren't happy with the story. In the second game, people are never fucking happy and I can't wait to see those people. Or a new batch of people freak out about the same shit in the second season. Oh, I fucking can't wait. It's gonna be the chef's kiss.

[:

[00:09:43] Scott Moran: flowers?

[:

[00:10:01] Frank Roll: ax, somebody else. They're doing it again. That just happened, and Jessica Beal was fucking great.

[:

[00:10:10] Scott Moran: Timberlake was

[:

[00:10:14] Scott Moran: Stash. Yeah. Great. And our girl. Yeah. Melanie Linsky Linsky. You're not gonna beat that fucking cast. Why are you doing that? And I just praised you a lot. H B O Thank you for making my favorite story into a show that is worthy of a story like that. , but why are you

[:

[00:10:30] Frank Roll: You know, when I stumbled upon candy on Hulu, I was like, oh, maybe, and it lasted like a week weekend. I was like, I'm doing this. And then I was so happy that I made that decision, man. I was like, that was just what I nee It was felt good.

[:

[00:10:46] Scott Moran: Uhhuh. . But. . I enjoyed what I saw and I don't see the point of doing that again. I think one of the husbands is, uh, what's his name? Kirsten Duns husband. Uh,

[:

[00:10:57] Scott Moran: Todd from Breaking Bad. He was that guy in Jungle Cruise. . .

[:

[00:11:03] Scott Moran: Rihanna. He was in. Kirsten, Dunst,

[:

[00:11:29] Scott Moran: worked with this Korean exchange student, like this was way back in the day.

[:

[00:11:52] Scott Moran: He'd been there for like a year. I was like pretty confident that he was gonna go home and watch it.

[:

[00:12:01] Scott Moran: That's one of those things, like, if I let somebody borrow a book, I'm probably not gonna get it back.

[:

[00:12:14] Frank Roll: brick of paper? You fucking handed me? Did I ever give you back your Magnolia v.

[:

[00:12:21] Scott Moran: I can always lend you something. You'll give it back to me 10 years later.

[:

[00:12:27] Scott Moran: a safe place. It's almost safer than it is with

[:

[00:12:32] Scott Moran: work. That was back in the day. I hadn't learned yet. . .

[:

[00:12:41] Frank Roll: Oh, I locked my door. I was way too trusting at a certain point in high school and I had lots of weird cool shit too. No, and this was in Burnett? Oh, it was probably close to that one time. I'm pretty sure somebody gave me pills cuz I woke up fucking butt naked in a puddle of sweat in my bed and I had no idea what happened.

[:

[00:12:56] Frank Roll: Jesus. There were a whole bunch of 100 grand bars in the refrigerator though. That was really

[:

[00:13:11] Scott Moran: Well, we thought we were doing found footage movies, , but we got, so

[:

[00:13:23] Scott Moran: Yeah, cuz we did it incantation last week and I was like, it's gonna be Frank's birthday. It looked

[:

[00:13:29] Frank Roll: It really did. It looks like that's a damn found footage. Internet.

[:

[00:13:49] Scott Moran: Expected it to have from the trailer.

[:

[00:13:56] Scott Moran: made. At the same time though, I think this is the same category. I would put this on the same shelf with Spree.

[:

[00:14:03] Scott Moran: thing going on and I think that we're gonna get that from next week's movie, which is dead stream.

[:

[00:14:33] Scott Moran: But she keeps watching 'em cuz she wants to know what the fuck we're talking about on the podcast when she listens to it. So ,

[:

[00:14:42] Scott Moran: This one? No. I don't think she was as impressed as I was by the end of it, where I was like, holy

[:

[00:14:52] Frank Roll: I was like, oh yeah, you

[:

[00:15:01] Frank Roll: getting here. Well, so I don't wanna start the skipping around over just. Like the kind of in between cut scenes, like her traveling to the meeting spot, how it's just that music and she's like running through the field and she's like, yeah, we'll

[:

[00:15:12] Scott Moran: Cause , the music in this movie was used to great effect. ,

[:

[00:15:29] Scott Moran: And I've realized that, I know you guys read the title of the episode.

[:

[00:15:39] Frank Roll: in this? Yeah. Australian. Australian film. It's an Australian

[:

[00:15:48] Frank Roll: is going on?

[:

[00:15:49] Scott Moran: the ruse Kelly called it because they called it a hens weekend. Is that what they were saying? Yes. A Henz weekend. Hens weekend. Okay. And she was like, you have to come to my hens. I never

[:

[00:16:02] Frank Roll: And I refuse to put on subtitles sometimes for

[:

[00:16:10] Frank Roll: do, do you do, do do,

[:

[00:16:14] Frank Roll: No, I'm, I'm really glad we picked it. There's always this thing where we pick a movie and we're real confident in our choice and we have our reasons for picking it.

[:

[00:16:23] Scott Moran: like hesitation. I don't mind watching it

[:

[00:16:29] Scott Moran: high expectations. And I do lately. I Do you like lately you've been real kind of harsh. Yeah. I like to stay optimistic.

[:

[00:16:41] Frank Roll: saying that?

[:

[00:16:59] Frank Roll: No . It was, it was something weird. It was something weird. It was something weird.

[:

[00:17:05] Scott Moran: box. I should have written it down because it went right through my brain because that whole sequence was a, an assault.

[:

[00:17:13] Scott Moran: gushers though? It wasn't that. It was something equally gross

[:

[00:17:18] Frank Roll: I don't,

[:

[00:17:46] Scott Moran: That she is not a sissy. She gathers her courage to go and ends up being face-to-face with Alex, her bully for the entire weekend. Through more flashbacks, we discovered that as children, Alex bullied sissy until she fucking snapped and stabbed her in the face with a garden trial and big time spoilers after this.

[:

[00:18:24] Scott Moran: No one at the party is safe after that if they get in the way of her preserving her friendship with Emma, Emma included. Sissy

[:

[00:18:42] Frank Roll: Isha D is Sissy, Emily Dei as Alex Daniel Monks is Jamie Gurin. Haws Tracy. Lucy Barrett is Fran. The official premiere of the movie was here in Austin earlier in 2022 at South by Southwest, and was distributed by the streaming service shutter. Although it holds a 6.2 rating on imdb and an audience score of 62%, it has a tomato meter certified fresh score of 96%.

[:

[00:19:07] Scott Moran: talk about that. Yeah. Why do you think that is? Do you think that it somewhere in this, somebody found a social message Because I was afraid that's what it was, that this was gonna be a heavy handed bullying thing, or it was gonna

[:

[00:19:22] Scott Moran: I mean it kind, the bullying is, but I mean that this is a serious gray

[:

[00:19:45] Scott Moran: Now it's a big part of our world. It is trying, saying that, like, that's like forcing some sort of message about something. Mm. I mean, that's our fucking world now. Well, I'm kind of

[:

[00:20:11] Frank Roll: Fucking spree, incantation. They started as ghost hunters. They were doing a ghost Hunters thing.

[:

[00:20:23] Frank Roll: let's just, let's just say Spree and Cantion and sissy, this whole social media influencer, this new world that we've become a part of, they nailed it.

[:

[00:20:38] Scott Moran: Elon mask. Elon

[:

[00:20:45] Scott Moran: it is. Well, that, and when she stepped away from that, Because I watch fuck tons of a SMR videos. I have serious anxiety problems, . That shit calms me the fuck down.

[:

[00:21:12] Scott Moran: It's a mess. So

[:

[00:21:18] Scott Moran: the pizza. Yeah. Which is why I think it's like, . There's a gray area there because later they like admonish her for that.

[:

[00:21:29] Frank Roll: No, I

[:

[00:21:32] Frank Roll: I think too. I did too. I was like, that's good. That's great.

[:

[00:21:42] Frank Roll: though?

[:

[00:21:46] Scott Moran: it could be. Or that these people they watch all the time. are normal fucking people. Normal fucking people living in tiny apartments that are messy and they're giving you advice, shit. Try looking for advice on writing on a YouTube video, and you start trying to find a college professor and you're like, this girl is 25.

[:

[00:22:06] Frank Roll: Thank you for your perspective.

[:

[00:22:13] Frank Roll: Yeah. Running into the friend. We gotta find the name of those tampons at some point, man. We're not gonna be able to do it. Bloody Gusher came to mind very

[:

[00:22:22] Scott Moran: That's what it was. Bloody brilliant.

[:

[00:22:29] Scott Moran: Those closeups man in the grocery store of her. Yeah, it gave me anxiety , which is what, how she was supposed to feel, because I think a lot of the movie was being conveyed through.

[:

[00:22:45] Frank Roll: Yeah. And then that's when we get a, the taste of like, okay, something happened in the past is why

[:

[00:22:59] Scott Moran: Tr the

[:

this,

[:

[00:23:12] Frank Roll: her the, yeah.

[:

[00:23:19] Scott Moran: she got stabbed in the fucking face. In the face

[:

[00:23:28] Frank Roll: Like they didn't know comedy. Like I feel like there were so many like categories.

[:

[00:23:37] Frank Roll: at the moment. I don't believe I saw that on I mdb. I think it was on Ammc Plus's Little. , you know, info block romance. Huh?

[:

[00:23:52] Scott Moran: love her. She did, but she didn't seemingly remember she loved her. Mm-hmm. . Yeah. Well, and so then, which should have been a good integration.

[:

[00:24:02] Frank Roll: And the fact that she goes to the damn party. and she's this personality with 200,000 followers, but it seemed like she was not too lively. You know, she gets pulled on. I thought stage karaoke very realistic. Yeah, because she's comfortable in

[:

[00:24:18] Scott Moran: Oh, we're not there yet. Oh, oh, oh. I'll let you know when we get there. The suspense is

[:

[00:24:36] Scott Moran: Well, they're generally women in movie. Because women have, we don't go in the bathroom like that.

[:

[00:24:51] Scott Moran: Well, that's what I mean is like, ladies don't pee on the floor.

[:

[00:24:55] Frank Roll: though, in movies, it's, it's they men and women. It's men and women in movies. This one happened to be women. But anyway, it was just something I.

[:

[00:25:11] Scott Moran: It's the hit the animal on the way to the party. Mm-hmm. and the Mercy Killing. We talked about it in the invitation. It was the exact same in this, I mean,

[:

[00:25:21] Scott Moran: The more I notice it, the less I want that kind of foreshadow. Yeah,

[:

[00:25:26] Scott Moran: once. It's kind of like the, having someone who would very much like to cut your throat shave you.

[:

[00:25:41] Frank Roll: There are so many razor blades to faces in movies. Dude, my brain

[:

[00:25:47] Frank Roll: it. Can I back up real quick to the damn pregnant lady at the store?

[:

[00:26:00] Scott Moran: was the pregnant lady the one she almost hit with the car?

[:

[00:26:10] Frank Roll: No, it was the pregnant lady. That's why I thought it was gonna be like a, what was that Snowman movie we used to watch with the guy in the orange? Jack Frost.

[:

[00:26:19] Scott Moran: pregnant lady was gonna pop up again. Yeah. Like they'd be

[:

[00:26:31] Frank Roll: But yeah. So you're. You're saying the foreshadowing, it's just cheap.

[:

[00:26:47] Scott Moran: Different day. No, I done it Is

[:

[00:26:55] Frank Roll: Johnny Walberg .

[:

[00:27:12] Frank Roll: Why the fuck would Emma invite her to a play? And I think it's Alex's house, not Fran's.

[:

[00:27:27] Frank Roll: first he got there.

[:

[00:27:32] Scott Moran: is gonna be there? I don't think she understood the gravity of all of that, although it appears she was standing right fucking there when she, so this is you being

[:

[00:27:44] Scott Moran: I'm waiting for it in due time.

[:

[00:27:56] Frank Roll: case. Well, speaking of the foreshadowing, when they took the selfie as she was sneaking into the room, You know, in that living room scene, I was kind of trying to form the plot at that point myself.

[:

[00:28:13] Scott Moran: There were other things though that, because she's nuts her putting on that necklace, , and then like she was taking pictures with the necklace.

[:

[00:28:28] Frank Roll: no. Uh, Alex was a bitch the whole time. Oh, she was

[:

[00:28:42] Scott Moran: Did they find it? I don't know. Did. It was one of the gifts

[:

[00:28:49] Scott Moran: ride on the way there. Okay. So again, why the fuck is it down there by the river?

[:

[00:28:55] Frank Roll: Gotta get your energy right. So it's all about the placement of the gems. Oh, yeah. You wanna tell me why Emma invited her without a second thought? Forgiveness is a thing. I'm a prideful person. I don't know. I'm not too big on forgiveness. Somebody slices my fucking face open whether I'm being a little fucking See you next Tuesday or not.

[:

[00:29:19] Scott Moran: my cheek. Yeah, but either way, that chick sucks her character. She was a bad human being. Also, she got undergoing bleaching treatments. . .

[:

[00:29:32] Frank Roll: Not everybody can do that. Oh yeah. That's a scary girl. I seize him cuz he is awkward as fuck because the, just the look on Alex's face, you knew it was not gonna be good.

[:

[00:29:44] Frank Roll: gets started, damn. I got really excited.

[:

[00:29:48] Scott Moran: horror. They held it a nice amount of time too. They did. And let it really be like, what's gonna happen? Because

[:

[00:30:00] Scott Moran: gonna expect, didn't expect to get this hardcore.

[:

[00:30:05] Frank Roll: pretty, it was a little graphic, not horrible. Jamie's tumble. Oh my

[:

[00:30:15] Frank Roll: but it was so good. Mids, samar, smar. Did

[:

[00:30:24] Scott Moran: Oh, you. Yeah, in

[:

[00:30:29] Scott Moran: Luckily we are here in Austin , so I was not the only one. You were not alone. It was all dudes though. It was like three dudes in the theater like Ha, , and I was one of them. Yes. .

[:

[00:30:44] Frank Roll: However, they did it dummy. That was like upper scale dummy

[:

[00:30:53] Frank Roll: Yeah, the mis, the computer animated plug. Yeah. You knew when he ran up to the cliff what was

[:

[00:31:04] Scott Moran: You knew

[:

[00:31:07] Scott Moran: And even though I knew where this was going, I was very happy I was getting it. .

[:

[00:31:18] Scott Moran: Jamie comes up, while she sat on top of her grave ,

[:

[00:31:26] Frank Roll: That's that feel good in the weird ass horror movie that I need, where it's like, okay, this is my moment to collect myself. Let's make a post. Yeah. You need

[:

[00:31:40] Frank Roll: No, you know, and she gets it done.

[:

[00:31:42] Scott Moran: live. She's almost covering her tracks in that moment when she does the live video because she's dirty and she's making a garden. Exactly. So she's already exactly planning her frame up. I

[:

[00:31:57] Frank Roll: That's when I was like, okay, I see where this is gonna go. That just wasn't the segue. It's a red herring, but yeah. Uh, the mask. Anytime there's a mask, you know, I got

[:

[00:32:11] Frank Roll: She got some attitude quick in the tub. It

[:

[00:32:17] Frank Roll: You know me, man. I love a good mask. Have to return some video tapes, ,

[:

[00:32:31] Frank Roll: ones. No, I didn't do any of the weird ones. I did them for a while to exfoliate

[:

[00:32:41] Scott Moran: me. Um, you gotta put your grandson's piss on your face. That's how do you keep your skin? It's gotta be grandson piss. I thought it was

[:

[00:32:53] Frank Roll: Okay, look man, shit.

[:

[00:32:59] Frank Roll: Oh no, I talked to Sid downtown. So yeah, mask, and then a homegirl gets scalped in the tub. Technically an

[:

[00:33:10] Frank Roll: tell us like there was a moment of panic?

[:

[00:33:15] Scott Moran: There are definitely two sissies happening at the same time all the time.

[:

[00:33:20] Scott Moran: Alex is still alive. That's what's even better, is that she's like laying on top of her grave and

[:

[00:33:26] Frank Roll: She like can't speak I guess, and it's just full on zombie.

[:

[00:33:39] Frank Roll: It's so good because you know, you gotta figure, it's a rural place that cop's probably bored. It is probably the same drunk guy who fucks with him all the time.

[:

[00:33:46] Scott Moran: was my favorite character in this movie. 100% good touch because when he does show up later, he's like, you got this. He's giving himself affirmations.

[:

[00:34:01] Scott Moran: Who knows what they're allowed to do there. Yeah. We're not allowed to do here. I'm just saying for

[:

[00:34:07] Scott Moran: day. He put it together in a way that was very

[:

[00:34:13] Scott Moran: days.

[:

[00:34:33] Frank Roll: good.

[:

[00:34:44] Scott Moran: Well, that's how you would be launched from the vehicle. If you hit the brakes, go in 140. Kilometers per hour. ,

[:

[00:34:53] Frank Roll: 140 kilometers an hour is about 70 miles an hour. If you were to slam on the brakes at 70 miles an hour with someone not wearing a seatbelt, they wouldn't go through the window. You're right, they would not go through the window. You need to hit that solid object. I'm

[:

[00:35:08] Scott Moran: Fine. I'm not a math math guy.

[:

[00:35:13] Scott Moran: it's not in, it actually is. Oh,

[:

[00:35:39] Scott Moran: That's ridiculous, man. That is, that is not enough to ruin a movie for me. It didn't ruin it

[:

[00:35:47] Scott Moran: gripe is one tiny little hood ornament. Again,

[:

[00:35:54] Scott Moran: I want that ugly painting for my house.

[:

[00:35:59] Scott Moran: it would look great in here anywhere.

[:

[00:36:13] Frank Roll: But yeah, no, that was my thing. But I did love the how she whispered, it's the humane thing to do. And then just walks away. It was really good. Like, yes, but I was still a little like, fuck man.

[:

[00:36:32] Scott Moran: that wasn't a Subaru.

[:

[00:36:37] Frank Roll: You know, like those weren't factory wheels on the van.

[:

[00:36:44] Frank Roll: in like the

[:

[00:36:51] Frank Roll: front wheel drive though. Even with like a four, six cylinder, like they've got some pickup.

[:

[00:37:00] Frank Roll: school where I'd take my grandparents van, just go do stuff every now and then, just drive the shit out of it.

[:

[00:37:09] Scott Moran: I feel kind of safe, even though I'm really not.

[:

[00:37:15] Scott Moran: boat. Yeah. The whole front of the bat mobile's out in front of me. Mm-hmm. . But the best friend fight was great.

[:

[00:37:26] Scott Moran: out of this.

[:

[00:37:34] Frank Roll: that phone on your face and how quick Ms sees that? Yeah, she's fucking nuts. We always

[:

[00:37:40] Frank Roll: gonna play some

[:

[00:37:47] Frank Roll: movie.

[:

[00:37:51] Scott Moran: well, you're not gonna find an original story in the world. You know? I think playing. This sort of movie with what the world is now because kids are gonna be fucked up. Man. That girl grew up with social media influence. No, but then

[:

[00:38:09] Frank Roll: I mean, I like, I was like, what's gonna happen? It

[:

[00:38:14] Frank Roll: the cop Alex part. I was like, she's gonna look like a fucking psycho. And that.

[:

[00:38:25] Frank Roll: confession.

[:

[00:38:40] Scott Moran: I don't know why I didn't think that at the end of it, it wasn't gonna be her more famous. She had the book and everything.

[:

[00:38:54] Scott Moran: are where those two really link up.

[:

[00:38:56] Frank Roll: about the found footage survivor. Well, this isn't

[:

[00:39:08] Frank Roll: of thing. I know. I'm so, I'm just so happy. I liked it that I forget that it really wasn't a found footage. , and that's what we were going for.

[:

[00:39:17] Scott Moran: One day we'll do a month where Frank just shows me his favorite found footage movies, if he can find them. Can you find the footage? Frank ? Can you find the footage? Find it for me.

[:

[00:39:37] Scott Moran: No. Um, but I really like this. People should watch it. We're checking out AMC plus, it's worth a seven day trial to watch this movie. I'd

[:

[00:39:46] Scott Moran: trial. We both were like, you keep it for

[:

[00:39:53] Frank Roll: You know what's on each service if you really looking and to see this many things that I haven't seen on the oth, you know, other offerings. This is, it was, it's like when you first had, when. Kind of first came back and it's like I have

[:

[00:40:12] Scott Moran: Mm-hmm. and uh, I still, I like Hulu's content almost that they

[:

[00:40:22] Scott Moran: they're still there. Yeah. And that's great. But they have delivered on more than. Peacock. Yeah, peacock. As far as, I don't think there is another streaming service my wife watches now, other than Peacock.

[:

[00:40:34] Frank Roll: Peacock is how I

found

[:

[00:40:48] Frank Roll: Yeah, it's easy. And once you get it on Amazon, it's just right there.

[:

[00:40:53] Scott Moran: right there. Channels or whatever. Channels. Yeah, it's right there. There. I still have the same gripe that Amazon has gone channel. Crazy. And could you just put the prime movies at the top of the fucking menu? Jesus Christ. I paid for this shit. We're watching Dead Stream next week.

[:

[00:41:14] Frank Roll: I think Skin and MA is found footage

[:

[00:41:24] Scott Moran: You think Crap cameras. I don't think that movie's gonna have any substance, but we may

[:

[00:41:31] Scott Moran: scared as easily as. . I haven't been scared by any of the found footage movies we've watched for this podcast yet. Especially that one with that guy from Cady Shack.

[:

[00:41:56] Frank Roll: me.

[:

[00:41:59] Scott Moran: I thought it was creepy. I like the

[:

[00:42:06] Scott Moran: I have a feeling skin and Mak is going to frustrate me. Mm-hmm. more than I'm gonna find it.

[:

[00:42:25] Frank Roll: Hard candy. Thanks everyone for joining us. For the last Video Store Clerks podcast, be sure to leave a rating and subscribe.
